School Improvement Summer Fellow

Providence Public Schools District (PPSD) seeks an exceptional SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT FELLOW who is highly qualified and skillful to join our community. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who seek a challenging yet rewarding experience.
We serve approximately 22,000 students at 37 elementary, middle, and high schools. Approximately 55% of students come from homes where English is not the primary language spoken. Combined, our students and families speak 55 different languages and hail from 91 countries of origin. In PPSD, the teachers and leaders set high expectations for academic achievement, provide equal access to differentiated instruction, and endeavor to close the achievement and opportunity gap among historically marginalized subgroups within the schools. The Office of School Improvement seeks to add School Improvement Fellow from June 1 - August 1. The School Improvement Summer Fellows will support the following mandates:

• LEA School Improvement Plans
• LEA Strategic Plans

Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.

The School Improvement Summer Fellow will be responsible for the following:

• Design school improvement plans with the support of each School Improvement Team
• Review the LEA Strategic Plan and collaborate with the Office of the Superintendent to revise goals and action plans
• Collaborate with the Data and Assessment Team to conduct an analysis of existing school improvement plans and identify the planning needs for each school
• Create implementation plans for each school improvement plan with the support of School Improvement Teams
• Align school improvement plans to the LEA Strategic Plan
