School Case Manager- Isbe Pel Administrator Type 75 Endorsement

Do you enjoy working with neurodiverse children? Join the the Merlin Day Academy and Eyas Landing team as we grow our ISBE approved program! Merlin Day Academy is Eyas Landing's newest innovative program designed to provide education and therapeutic intervention in a supportive environment.

We are seeking a School Case Manager to join our team full or part time. Ideal candidates should enjoy communicating with and supporting families through their IEP and nonpublic school placement process. They should be interested in assisting our teams in proper documentation and training requirements under ISBE, as well as, collaborating with our teams to ensure ISBE compliance.

Responsibilities

• Creates visual schedules, social stories, and home programs to help support therapy goals.  
• Participate in all required company orientation, professional development days and ongoing trainings as required.  
• Completes daily treatment notes, daily data input and analysis, initial and annual evaluations, plan of care documents to update goals and other documentation as needed within required time frame.   
• Establishes and maintains relationships with clients and families by providing parent education, home programs, and parent support as needed.  
• Follows all company policies and procedures. 
• Implements Merlin Day Academy's curriculum and to theories of practice models supporting Merlin Day's therapeutic model.  
• Participates in on-going collaboration with the client's team and family including weekly emails, phone calls and in person discussions. 
• Maintains a caseload of therapy groups, individual therapy sessions and daily case management tasks.
• Participates in required supervision meetings for first six months of employment and as needed per discretion of supervisor. 
• Actively participates in monthly staff meetings, department meetings and as needed team meetings. 
• Collaborates with scheduling team to manage caseload requirements. 

Requirements

• Special Education Teacher, Speech Language Pathologist, School Counselor, School Nurse, School Social Worker, or School Psychologist
• Masters degree preferred
• Experience working on IEP teams and school leadership experience preferred
• PEL Type 75 endorsement required (will consider candidates in process of obtaining their endorsement)
