Director of Operation

Primary Functions
The School Aide is responsible for designing the School's programming and maintaining all vital school data . The School Aide is responsible for providing administrative and operational support. In addition to the daily operations responsibilities listed below, the School Aide will serve as a thought partner with the Director of Operations and Principal to support strong academic performance by optimizing operational efficiency.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities: Build caring relationships and rapport with students and staff Supervising student arrivals, dismissal, and late-arrivals Supervising sessions of recess and lunch. Supporting with student information and enrollment, maintaining student files Communicating with parents in written and verbal Monitoring students during assigned periods within a variety of school environments (classroom, restroom, hallway, recess, busing, field trips, lunch, playground, etc.) Maintaining a neat and orderly main office by straightening out chairs, tables, & clearing the space, etc. Assisting operational and teaching staff with tasks that include but are not limited to: Maintaining storage and supply areas. Assisting with unpacking/checking of materials. Participates in the distribution and inventory of textbooks, supplies, equipment, and materials for school programs, i.e., exhibits, fairs, health education, etc.; Updating bulletin boards throughout the building. Making copies and distributing materials to classes or students. Supporting after-school and family events, as necessary. Modeling/promoting, to create a cohesive school culture of academic success and family. Supporting and covering classrooms as needed. Performing other duties as assigned. Ability to apply empirical principles and procedures in work performed and ability to analyze student achievement and data to draw logical conclusions and prepare comprehensive reports. Ability to make independent decisions Demonstrate good judgment and good problem-solving skills Knowledge or ability to use SIS (student information systems) or online learning platforms (Schoology, Google Classroom, PowerSchool, and Canvas) Organize tasks, set priorities, meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks Respond appropriately to evaluation and changes in the work setting Work autonomously within school-established guidelines and policies Work effectively with staff, students, and public Preferred Education and Experience
Bilingual
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field
Prior experience working in a Charter School or non-profit
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. This job's specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. $17-20/hour
5 days a week Travel
