Job Summary


ONEOK is looking for a Scheduler II who will be responsible for handling nominations, confirmations, and scheduling of natural gas volumes for the production business. Manages volumetric imbalances with producers, shippers, and pipelines daily in accordance with contractual and system compliance. Maintains strong internal and external customer relations based on honest timely communication and transactions.


This role is hybrid:


Office - Monday, Tuesday & Thursday


Remote - Wednesday & Friday


Job Profile Summary


Performs expert level of work related to nomination, confirmation and scheduling activities for intrastate and interstate transmission pipelines, storage, plants, gathering pipelines or natural gas liquids (NGL) distribution.


Essential Functions And Responsibilities
  • Analyze data and complete projects with generally no assistance; may serve as a project manager
  • Monitor, mitigate and/or manage shipper/customer imbalances and Operational Balance Agreement (OBA) imbalances (as specified by position)
  • Coordinate with commercial/account managers regarding overall daily scheduling and balancing positions on interstate and intrastate pipelines; report any problems regarding flow of gas, plants or NGL
  • Flow rates/capacity issues
  • Measurement discrepancies
  • Attend meetings representing the department to provide insight and direction on projects or cross-departmental issues
  • Assist leader by reviewing the work of colleagues
  • Available to occasionally work outside designated work schedule in order to handle supply disruptions, changes and emergencies

  • Available to be on-call regarding scheduling disruptions, emergencies and additional issues
  • Allocations
  • Initiate, schedule and monitor daily nominations on natural gas or NGL pipelines
  • Provide training, instruction and guidance for scheduling colleagues

  • Interact with gas control representatives, customers, operators, producers, pipeline companies and others concerning nominations, allocations, billing, imbalances, daily flow and operational orders
  • Calculate, prepare, analyze and/or verify information or reports including, but not limited to:
  • Storage balances
  • Recommend new processes and initiate new ideas; take lead role during implementations of new processes
  • Balancing deliveries


Education


  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business administration or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job related knowledge or experience


Work Experience
  • Experience composing and preparing balancing reports, volume summaries, confirmations, reports, pipeline postings, storage reports and electronic bulletin board communications
  • Gas control
  • Experience in use of software such as: Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and Power Point
  • Transportation services
  • NGL distribution (as specified by position)
  • Experience and knowledge of operational aspects and assets across the systems of the applicable business unit
  • Pipeline tariffs
  • Experience and/or training related to:
  • Experience analyzing information, conducting meetings and making presentations
  • Experience and thorough knowledge of nomination and scheduling of gas or NGL volumes on a pipeline system

  • 3 - 5 years related work experience scheduling and/or related experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Gas purchase and sales

  • Knowledge of: scheduling functions and commercial relationships with the ability to discern functional and transactional affects
