We are looking to hire an SAP Business Analyst (RTR) – Shakopee, MN

This is just a high-level overview of the role we need you to fill for us

The SAP Regional Process Owner (RTR) is the regional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Record to Report, aka Finance processes within SAP S4HANA and related applications in the Americas. This position will work to identify solutions and process improvements for RTR and be a visible and engaged asset to the business users within Finance/Accounting/Controlling.

This resource will work closely with the various business lines to understand current processes, research solutions needed to address changing business needs and ultimately design innovative solutions within SAP S4HANA. They will also be the key interface between the business and our 3rd party IT provider for SAP services. Additional responsibilities include functional requirement specifications, configuration, testing, and training key-users on system functionality

• Deep understanding of Business Partner Master data and Material Master Data
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Information Systems or equivalent. Alternatively, an associate degree, combined with 5+ years of work experience with performing business process analysis, data analysis, financial reporting, database management and/or process improvement will be considered.
• Ability to build strong team relationships.
• 3+ years of experience working with 3rd party SAP consulting organizations.
• Previous experience influencing and negotiating cross functionally, without direct authority over the involved parties.
• Logical thinker, good business judgment.
• Knowledge of data storage domains and data quality management processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Office applications including MS Access.
• 5+ years of experience providing ERP / SAP process analysis leadership and support; working with a common global template across countries or regions; working with peers across those regions to ensure consistent use and planning for SAP functionality.
• Demonstrated collaboration with multiple business functions – can develop new procedures, strategies, and process improvements that will enhance business productivity and streamline operations.
• Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with the RTR Processes in SAP with strong knowledge of S4HANA functionality, especially in Finance, Reporting and Controlling (FI/CO/GL/AR/AP) including GL Reporting.
• Ability to develop new procedures, strategies, and process improvements that will enhance business productivity and data quality.
• Deep knowledge of key integration points with SAP FICO and other SAP modules, including COPA, ML, New GL, SD, MM, PP, PM, PS and T&E, SAP FICO
• Has excellent communication (written and oral), presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Previous experience performing business process analysis, data analysis, and seeking opportunities for process improvements within SAP. The ideal candidate has supported business users in multiple ERP process areas.
• Experience with SAP Solution Manager
• Ability to understand business processes and translate into technical requirements.
• Direct experience in project activities of medium to large IT projects.

Specific Responsibilities

• Regional Process Owner (RTR) – i.e., the SME for RTR in the SAP S4 HANA system for the Americas
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities in the RTR process in America (e.g., Lean-Six-Sigma projects)
• Develop training materials and procedures, and/or train key users upon the deployment of new functionality within RTR
• Troubleshoot and support resolution related to data issues across the business, which occur within the RTR modules in S4 HANA
• Work with local and regional 3rd party service providers as needed to diagnose and resolve / recover from any RTR-related issues within the S4 HANA environment.
• Participates on project teams to include supervision of contract employees as required.
• Gather requirements for, help to build business case, and then implement new applications and configurations designed to significantly improve the RTR process
• Support Key User community (Accounting/Finance/Controlling and other business communities)
• Collaborate globally with the respective RTR SME’s in other regions and the global team to implement global/regional solutions within the RTR modules
