Work you'll do:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to performing system monitoring, transport management, technical and limited functional troubleshooting, system tuning and optimization, Early Watch report analysis, new system/component installation, IMG configuration, disaster recovery planning, routine maintenance including patching, SNote application, and lifecycle application upgrades.

As a SAP BASIS administrator you will serve as a trusted technical expert advising technical and functional teams internal to the Army Shared Services Center (Army SSC), as well as providing guidance to external customers and infrastructure providers. You will utilize incident response and troubleshooting skills while working with multiple cross-functional teams to resolve highly complex and challenging technical problems as incidents occur. Documentation will be updated and maintained as system configurations are changed. You will be expected to keep an effective communication line with upper-level leadership on problems and challenges.

Experience in Aglie, SAFe for Government, and ServiceNow is helpful but not required. If selected you will be required to maintain a DoD 8570.01 Baseline certification for IAT Level II which can be satisfied by industry certifications such as the CompTIA Security+ CE, CISSP, SSCP, ect. You will also need to achieve a Defense Acquisition Workforce Engineering and Technical Management Practitioner certification in within two years of onboarding.

The team:

The Army Shared Services Center BASIS team supports SAP ECC, HANA, PI/PO, SolMan, CUA, BI/BW, BOBJ, Enterprise Portal, and other SAP products in the Amazon Web Services GovCloud environment. Currently five ERPs are supported by the Army SSC BASIS team including the Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program – Hub, the Logistics Modernization Program, the Global Combat Supply System – Army, the General Fund Enterprise Business System, and the General Fund Enterprise Business System – Sensitive Activities.
