Position Summary | Purpose
The Sanitation Technician is responsible for the cleaning and disinfection of the entire Fresno Facility as well as cleaning to maintain the 6S program. The job duties will consist of cleaning and disinfecting production equipment and facilities including but not limited to breakrooms, bathrooms, retail area and outside common areas. Work safely with the chemicals used in the cleaning and disinfection process. Ensure all chemicals are used at proper concentrations. Complete all required documentation. Adhere to all company safety policies. Wash and maintain buckets and containers and the sanitary state of the storage rooms. Perform ground clean up duties including trash pickup, leaf, and debris removal. Maintain all sanitation related equipment including but not limited to automatic floor scrubbers, vacuums, sprayers, cleaning equipment and tools.
Requirements
Responsibilities | Duties

• Maintain cleanliness and regularly disinfect equipment, tools, water coolers, refrigerators, microwaves, and all other items and surfaces that are frequently touched and shared such as tables, counters, chairs, and doors.
• Complete accurate inventory counts and keep equipment and chemical storage areas clean and tidy, maintain and improve 6S in all storage areas.
• Operate all equipment when needed for cleaning correctly and complete all chemical concentration monitoring as described in work instructions, product directions and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Work closely with all departments to maintain 6s and cleanliness standards.
• Complete special projects and other duties assigned.
• Perform cleaning and disinfection as per the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines as well as the guidelines set forth by local authorities such as the Health Department.
• Inspect and clean all safety equipment such as fire extinguishers and eye wash stations.
• Keep cleaning stations stocked and store all chemicals and safety equipment properly.
• Inspect loading docks daily and remove all build up debris.
• Determine priorities for cleaning either through directions provided by Supervisor or though consultation of the Master Sanitation schedule.

Experience | Requirements

• Preferred previous sanitation experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High School diploma.
• Minimum of 3 months’ experience and/or training.
• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities | Indicators

• Operate a forklift.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Basic computer skills.
