Job Description
TITLE
Sanitation Specialist
LOCATION
McCalla, AL
REPORTS TO
Assistant Manager, Sanitation
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as a steward of our culture and coach others on Company’s Basic Belief’s and Commitment to Each Other.
  • Trains employees to use portable foamers, pneumatic foamer and can troubleshoot when necessary
  • Manages chemical inventory
  • Facilitate more efficient sanitation training program for technicians
  • Determine more efficient sanitation practices for equipment
  • Presents sanitation presentation for New Hire Orientation
  • Work with vendors on various equipment (Floor scrubbers, Hygiena – EnsureTouch Units,etc.)
  • Oversee Hygiena Website (Trending ATP outages and using it to find hard to clean areas or coaching opportunities)
  • Work with Ecolab for any outages regarding chemicals and cleaning practices
  • Trains employees on visual inspections, swabs and other sanitation practices
  • Supports the SanFLs and technicians on the floor during sanitation days
  • Oversee Sandwich Making and Bakery Sanitation Schedule
  • Supports the company and site safety policies.
  • Coaches SanFLs and technicians on cGMP and sanitation best practices
  • Operates and trains employees on the riding floor scrubber and walk behind floor scrubber
  • Manage Sanitation Tool Inventory (research new tool opportunities, track usage and needs)
  • Expert on all CIP systems
  • Strive to reduce sanitation time
  • Creates and updates SSOPs and SOPs
  • Develop, Update and communicate any changes to the MSS
What we are looking for:
Minimum Requirements
  • Prior sanitation experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Prior forklift experience/certification preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Effectively works across organization boundaries and with diverse teams
  • Willingness to work off-shifts or weekends as needed
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a large organization to deliver business needs
  • Ability to effectively engage on the floor
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to learn new skills/technologies quickly
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule that most effectively supports the organization
  • Decisive, proactive, and strategic in decision making
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
