Sand Tester Jobs

Harrison Steel has an opening for a Sand Tester. This individual will test sand to determine its usability for making sand molds or cores by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Tests, records and maintains accurate records of sand test results.
• Calibrates P.U.N.B. mixers in Core Room.
• Runs screen analysis of all Foundry sand stream flows.
• Performs sand tests on sand samples from all sand mixers.
• Maintains a clean work area.
• Follows job work instructions and training matrix, where applicable.
• Maintains and calibrates all lab equipment on a daily basis.

Education/Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

Requires basic computer skills.
