At Microchip Technology, Inc., we are in search of a highly skilled and experienced Salesforce Developer to join our dynamic E-commerce Salesforce Team based at our headquarters in Chandler, AZ. As part of this team, you will play a crucial role in working closely with various stakeholders, including Project Managers, Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Developers and Quality Assurance experts, to deliver top-notch technical solutions within the Salesforce ecosystem.
Responsibilities will revolve around designing and implementing essential technical components on the Salesforce platform. This involves harnessing expertise to create efficient and effective solutions that contribute to our organization’s growth and success. Additionally, the chosen candidate will offer vital support to other fellow technical team members, fostering seamless collaboration and facilitating the efficient development and delivery of Salesforce deliverables.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Education and Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or its equivalent is required for the candidate. Additionally, the candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of developer work experience, with at least 3 years dedicated to working with Salesforce, specifically Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, Apex, Lightning Components, Flows, and Visualforce/force.com.
Salesforce Developer
The candidate must have sufficient technical and functional background to communicate to project managers efficiently and effectively, business analysts, stakeholders, and other developers. Experience, responsibilities, and duties will include:
  • Can analyze business requirements to estimate the scope of development effort
  • Understanding of Salesforce.com architecture and API’s, including Salesforce integration with service cloud and sales cloud solutions.
  • Good understanding of IT governance including environment management, release management, source code control management including managing code branches, and deployment methodologies. Can help create and implement best in class processes.
  • Able to write and review technical specifications and present to team members
  • Experience with Salesforce Lightning Components, APEX, Flows, Javascript, HTML5, Visualforce
  • Salesforce certifications preferred: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I, or Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II, or similar.
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall projects, and all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analysis, design, coding, unit testing, integration, user acceptance testing, maintenance.
  • Proven experience in development, implementation, and maintenance of Salesforce technical solutions.
  • Experience documenting current state technical data flows and making recommendations for future state improved processes/designs and driving the solution to the future state.
  • Post-release product support and driving continuous improvements.
  • Can communicate with Information Services peers and business users regarding business requirements and translate requirements into technical designs. Can effectively communicate status, technical issues, and proposed solutions.
  • Able to perform code reviews for peers
  • Proficient with SOQL, and/or SQL.

The candidate should exhibit a creative and innovative mindset demonstrating the ability to think outside the box and effectively analyze to resolve complex issues.
Verbal/Written Communication
The candidate must have excellent English language skills, both verbal and written, to contribute effectively in group meetings, provide project updates, and write technical documents. Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate the ability to communicate proficiently with internal business customers, co-workers, managers, and the development team.
Teamwork and Culture
The candidate must be culturally compatible with Microchip’s value-based structure and style and must have a good work ethic in a collaborative environment. Microchip offers a hybrid work schedule offering the employee the ability to work from home up to 2 days per week. Candidate needs to be proactive, customer-oriented and be able to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic and cross-functional environment.
