Fidler Marketing food service sales agency is seeking experienced Sales Representatives to support our expansion in the Texas market!

Responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor slow-moving items, develop and create action on a plan to ensure either increased movement of items or slot replacement.
  • Complete daily reports in our CRM that clearly demonstrate our exceptional attention to detail and the high level of commitment to manufacturers we represent.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and distributors.
  • Understand our manufacturers' and distributors' goals and needs; executing specific, actionable sales goals to meet these expectations.
  • Prepare for, attend and follow up after food shows, district sales meetings, huddles, and item placement meetings. Attention to detail and follow through are critical for this aspect of the role.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and follow through to ensure increase in sales.
  • Serve as a valuable member of the Fidler Marketing team by providing updates in company phone meetings/periodic company all-staff meetings and remaining connected with company leadership and other staff to learn and share best practices.
  • Plan and organize all aspects of end-user /operator calls, focusing on multi-unit, high volume, and industrial accounts ensuring that each work-week is spent conducting high quality end-user calls with distributor reps that result in increased sales. Target is to see 15 - 20 customers each week and record details of each visit in the company's CRM system on a daily basis.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record with established contacts to increase sales, open new accounts, and secure placements of new items in existing and new accounts.
  • Motivated and assertive self-starter who can work independently as well as be a significant contributor to the team on a remote basis.
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience required; preferably from the foodservice industry with a food broker, distributor or manufacturer.
  • Experience as a direct foodservice sales representative, corporate chef or a broker and/or distributor food service sales representative is a plus.
  • A positive, professional, and proactive attitude with excellent communications skills.
  • Position will require daily local travel and occasional overnight travel outside the designated region. Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Commitment to demonstrating integrity and honesty in all aspects of job function, as this is a remote role working independently on the road each day and based out of a home office for a family-owned and operated business.
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure that sales goals are met and each work-week is appropriately balanced; ensuring that at least 15 quality end-user sales calls are made each week.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships that exemplify our high standard of customer service.
  • Ability to produce quality reporting and status updates to company leadership and to key personnel for the lines we represent. Proficiency with web based sales software/CRM along with MS Office is required to effectively complete reports and update files when necessary.
  • Innovative planning and follow-through skills to execute a well-developed sales plan.
