Job Description
The InProduction Safety Department exists to promote and implement safety standards that places the health, safety and well-being of our employees, clients, and visitors as the number one priority. The Safety Specialist will travel throughout the US to InProduction’s active job construction sites and be overall responsible for site safety. Overnight, out of town travel up to 85% is the standard for this position. Most of the work sites are outdoors and are usually at professional sporting stadiums, golf courses, racetracks, & concert sites. Travel is mainly but not solely in the south eastern US. Direct Reports: None
Travel Arrangements: All travel and lodging is paid for by InProduction
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Safety Training for employees and supervisors as required
  • Assist in the update, implementation and enforcement of safety program and policies
  • Writing reports and responding to inquiries and concerns
  • Develop and conduct weekly toolbox talks on site
  • Responsible for identifying safety hazards and immediately mitigating the issue
  • Ensure compliance with all new developments, regulations, and requirements for environmental, health, and safety regulations
  • Ensure job sites and employees are in compliance with Federal and State OSHA
  • Responsible for immediately applying corrective and preventative action when discrepancies are detected.
  • Lead Accident Investigations; communicate findings and recommendations
  • Inspect and ensure job sites achieve safety goals
  • Develop and maintain emergency response and accident prevention plans
  • Conduct and maintain Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s) & Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s)
  • Establish standard of safety through leadership and by example
  • Attend necessary seminars to maintain familiarity with regulations and requirements
  • Perform all duties as outlined in the company’s safety program
Requirements
  • 20/20 vision with corrective lenses
  • Able to climb ladders
  • Proficient in OSHA, EPA, and DOT, regulatory requirements.
  • Sitting, Bending, Standing, Walking for long periods of time
  • Overnight out of town travel up to 85% required.
  • Must be able to travel on an airplane
  • Ability to work at heights greater than 40 feet
  • Must be able to work outdoors in any weather/temperature condition
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in a professional setting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Working evenings and weekends may occasionally be required
  • Proficient computer skills. Microsoft Office a MUST to include Excel
  • A strong desire to keep others safe
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clear & safe driving history
Preferred Candidates Will Have
  • Military Veterans are highly encouraged to apply
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Risk Management, Construction Management, or similar
  • OSHA 30
  • At least 1 year of site safety leadership experience
  • English/Spanish Bilingual capability both verbal and writing
  • Experience traveling extensively for work
  • Additional certification in relevant safety processes
