Overwatch is hiring Experienced Safety Managers for multiple sites across the United States. This position is responsible for planning, implementing, and coordinating programs to reduce or eliminate occupational injuries, illnesses, and financial losses at an operational region, area or company level.

• Daily safety reporting within Procore
• Daily safety walks and inspections
• Weekly safety audits with the CMs and GC
• Ensuring federal/jurisdictional safety requirements are complied with
• Safety training for the Campus project staff
• Ensuring compliance with the GC’s safety program
• Ensuring compliance with the Campus Cares program
• Communications, updates and presentations to customer weekly and as required

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 4-8 years’ experience in management of health and safety programs for industry, a regulatory government agency or similar organization or significant industry experience with strong safety focus/record.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record.
• BA/BS degree in safety, construction, engineering, human resources or other appropriate discipline or equivalent combination of experience preferred. Military equivalent considered.
• Must have extensive risk and claim management experience.

Preferred Requirements:

• Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, OSHA, 30-hour Construction Safety and Industry Standards plus familiarity with DOE 10 CFR Part 851 highly desirable
• Working knowledge of computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheet or presentation software.
• Strong working knowledge of health and safety regulations related to construction materials industry
• Working knowledge of construction materials equipment and operations.
• General knowledge of insurance and financial matters related to health and safety programs.
• Certified trainer or significant training experience.
