Job Description

We are seeking a candidate who is energetic, positive, dynamic, and has a strong track record in implementing and managing site-specific safety plans. The Site Safety Professional is responsible for managing the safety activities at a jobsite. This includes implementation of customer-driven site requirements, and other processes to ensure the workplace environment is safe.


Responsibilities

  • Attend and professionally represent ECC in all required customer safety meetings.
  • Develop and implement the site-specific Jobsite Safety Plan.
  • Develop the pre-task plans with the help of onsite supervision.
  • Perform additional safety training that may be required onsite.
  • Organize and perform safety orientations for all direct-hire and subcontractor employees working under ECC’s contract.
  • Establish onsite emergency plans and offsite medical arrangements.
  • Organize and lead weekly Toolbox Talks.
  • Perform multiple informal daily site assessments to ensure compliance with all Federal, State, Local, and Site Safety & Health standards and document the results.
  • Verify all employees’ drug testing and safety training status meets the customers’ and ECC’s requirements prior to their starting work.
  • Other tasks or assignments as directed.
  • Set up and maintain all required safety documentation including Safety Data Sheets.
  • Implement the use of personal protective equipment to ensure worker safety.


Qualifications

  • Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP) preferred.
  • Experience in Construction Safety preferred.
  • Must be able to work independently to lead safety initiatives at jobsites.
  • Minimum OSHA 30 certification; OSHA 500 or 510 certification preferred.
