Are you passionate about safety and have a keen eye for detail? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, technologically advanced environment? If you answered yes, then we have a challenging and exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Safety Director to join our dynamic team in the technology industry.


As a Permanent Safety Director, you will be responsible for the overall strategic direction and management of our safety program, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. You will be the go-to person for all things safety-related, from creating and implementing safety policies and procedures to conducting risk assessments and safety audits.


Responsibilities


  • Develop and maintain safety metrics and present reports to management.
  • Lead the investigation of accidents and incidents to identify their causes and find ways to prevent them in the future.
  • Collaborate with management to develop strategic safety plans for the company.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA, NFPA, and others.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee the company's safety program to ensure a safe, healthy, and incident-free work environment.
  • Create and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Stay abreast of new developments in health and safety laws and regulations that could impact the organization.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Develop and implement emergency response procedures.


Qualifications


  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
  • Proven experience with OSHA 30, CPR, First Aid, Arc Flash, NFPA 70e, Big Box, and Site Work.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent understanding of safety principles and practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Ability to influence and create a culture of safety throughout the organization.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the technology industry.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
  • Willingness to stay updated with advancements in the field of health and safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
