Job Overview:

Housekeeping room attendants provide for the comfort of guests in hotels by ensuring that guest rooms and public areas are clean and properly presented. A housekeeping room attendant promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, friendly, and able to address problems or special requests.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Returning and restocking cleaning cart at shift end.
• Replacing used towels and other bathroom amenities, such as shampoo and soap.
• Cleaning public areas, such as corridors.
• Dusting and polishing furniture.
• Updating the status of guest rooms on the assignment sheet.
• Reporting any technical issues and maintenance needs.
• Changing bed linen and making beds.
• Emptying trash containers and ashtrays.
• Greeting guests and responding to queries.
• Vacuuming carpets.
• Sweeping and mopping floors.
• Restocking beverages and food items in the minibar.
