Fort HealthCare - Internal Medicine Clinic is hiring a RN that performs as a professional nurse in the area of patient care, triage, and education, working under the supervision of the clinic Physician/Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant and the clinic manger. The RN utilizes the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation) in all patient encounters. Possesses the ability to interact, assess, and treat all ages of life. This is the primary function of this role.

This role will cross-train into Pediatrics as well. This position is responsible for serving ages 1 day to 100+ year olds with triaging incoming calls, giving home care advice, assessing walk-in's, assessing patients when providers are called out to the hospital, educating patients and ensuring notification of medication changes and upcoming lab work.

Also serves as a resource and mentor for LPN and MA staff that room patients. Triage staff responds to tasks delegated by providers in EMR. They also set up ambulatory care appointments. The Internal Medicine triage nurse will also be trained as a backup for rooming patient which utilizes the nurse to educate parents on developmental milestones and anticipatory guidance.

Diploma/degree from a RN program. Current Wisconsin nursing license (RN). CPR Certificate. One year's nursing experience, or previous experience in hospital or clinic required. (Please note that there will be a requirement to obtain a BSN within 5-years of hire date).
