Psychiatric Nurse Responsibilities

• Administering psychotropic and similar medications.
• Gauging patients' psychiatric states.
• Removing potentially harmful and triggering environmental features.
• Conducting targeted psychoeducation, particularly within families.
• Recording patients' health journeys and reporting on notable alterations.
• Monitoring adherence to non-medicinal treatment regimens.
• Collaborating on psychiatric intervention plans.
• Restraining, consoling, and sometimes medicating highly unsettled patients.

Requirements

• RN License in CT. BLS, Must be willing to take Charge

Certifications
Valid Picture ID(Driver's license, State ID, or Passport), Nursys, BLS (if required for position)(American Heart Association or Red Cross), Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) Training(May be called MAB (Managing Assaultive Behavior) or similar - available free at www.cdc.gov/niosh/to), Sexual Harassment Prevention Training (CA hospitals)(Available for free at www.dfeh.ca.gov/shpt/)

32 hours per week 3pm-11pm
