Job Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Demonstrates accountability for essential clinical knowledge to positively affect patient

outcomes within the scope of nursing practice while assessing, planning,intervening and

evaluating care.

• Demonstrates strong and accurate clinical judgment and competent or expert nursing skills

while following established policies including those related to confidentiality (written, verbal,

electronic and digital).

• Timely collaborates with the healthcare team to report critical information or change in

condition.

• Promotes comfort and prevents suffering through presence and attentiveness. Demonstrates

timely pain assessment and reassessment.

• Collaborates with patients, families, and the healthcare team to coordinate care for an

effective and current plan of care.

Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:

• Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program (required)
• BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred)

Licensure/Certification

• Current licensure as an RN in the state of Virginia or current multi-state compact RN license

with eligibility to practice in VA is required.

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required)

• 29-Bed Medical ICU
• Stroke designated unit, where patients with neurologic problems are seen
• Nurse to patient ratios based on acuity (very fast pace)
• Types of patients you may see are ventilated tracheostomy patients

• Patient turnover ranges from 5 – 12 days

SHIFT TIMES: Days & Nights (7-7)

Experience

• Will cross train 1 year of hospital experience - at least Med Surg

Sal range: $32.11 (0) $39,76 (10yr) $ (20yr MAX) 45.87

SIGN ON : 15K (2 year commitment)

• Also accepting candidates for the ICU training program starting 9/18. A minimum of 6 months RN

experience is required. This is a paid 10 week accelerated program, and candidates are eligible for a

$15,000 sign on bonus with a 3 yr commitment. There are 12 needs. ***
