The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing anddocumenting skilled nursing care in accordance with the care plan developed foreach individual patient and within the physician’s orders. The Registered Nurseis also responsible for providing services, as directed by contract and/or program,while under the supervision of a contract/program clinical designee. The RNprovides service in accordance with Maxim’s philosophy, standards and policies.

- Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
- Assesses and evaluates patient nursing needs regularly
- Adheres to the following professional practice standards:
- Standards of Accrediting Body
- Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests fromprescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
- Attends case conferences, team meetings and educationin-services, as required
- Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the care/services environmentand equipment used, including universal precautions
- Documents all physician collaboration/coordination of carein the medical record and communicates this information as needed
- Standards of Nursing Practice
- Intervenes as applicable in response to changes inpatient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician orsupervisor
- Patient Bill of Rights
- Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluatepatient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services,as required
- Assures patient/client safety at all times
- Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as wellas, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
- Standards of Patient Care
- Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursingactions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
- Adheres to Maxim policy, procedure and applicable protocols
- Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifiesareas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting anddischarge planning needs, as applicable
- Successful completion of Maxim’s Competency Program
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in specific state required
- Successful completion of Maxim Orientation and Compliance training,and all other assigned trainings as applicable required
- Current Health Certificate (per facility contract or stateregulation) required
- Must meet all federal, state, local and contract requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing preferred
- Proficiency in the English language required
- One year prior professional nursing experience preferred
- Complies with accepted professional standards and practice
- Current CPR, as applicable, for direct patient care
- PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- $30.00/hr - $35.00/hr
