This position is Full-Time Monday- Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with occasional after hours responsibilities. Jo b Summary: The Field Clinical Educator position's main purpose is to enhance the quality of care provided by the hospice nursing staff through comprehensive education, training, and competency assessment at the point of care. This role will focus on advancing the knowledge, skills, and competencies of the nurses and certified nursing assistants working in the field, thereby ensuring exceptional care for patients and their families. This role will focus on elevating and standardizing clinical practice and EMR (Electronic Medical Record) documentation, ensuring clinical competency, providing just in time education, and creating efficiencies at the location of care. The field clinical educator will accompany nurses and CNAs (Certified Nursing Assistants) on patient visits to assess and address education needs and validate competency with an enhanced focus on newly hired nurses and CNAs. Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Must be currently licensed as an RN (Registered Nurse) in North Carolina and in good standings with NCBON. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred. Minimum of 3 years in nursing with a minimum of 2 years of hospice experience . CHPN certification preferred. If not currently certified as a CHPN, commit to certifying within 12 months of hire. Excellent assessment, clinical nursing skills and effective interpersonal and communication skills Must be innovative, communicate effectively and relate well with others. Other: Valid state-issued driver's license required. Must carry automobile liability insurance at limits required by agency. Must have own transportation.
