Rn - Dialysis - (20-30 Hours)

Reports To: Director of Dialysis

Status: 20-30 hours per two week pay period

Shift: working hours between 5:00 am - 6:30 pm

Weekly Hours: 10 to 15 hours each week

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The RN provides direct nursing care for families, aggregates and community groups, as well as individual clients with complex interactions of nursing diagnoses. The RN uses complex communication skills with clients and collaborates with other health team members. The RN manages comprehensive nursing care for clients from admission through discharge.

Requirements

• ACLS preferred but not required
• Failure to comply with standards of nursing care of HRMC may result in consequences to continued employment.
• Licensed or certified to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota.
• BLS is required
• Following a formal orientation, proficiency in the assigned clinical area is expected within six months.

Working Conditions

• Subject to inside environmental conditions (protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change) and to atmospheric conditions (one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases or poor ventilation).
• Risks exposure to communicable or infectious disease.
• Requires frequent walking, standing, sitting, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, feeling, talking, hearing and moderate lifting (exerting/lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly) of clients and equipment.
