Seltzer’s Smokehouse is looking for a highly skilled Store Supervisor who is ready to join us as we head into a new chapter in our amazing story. With a renewed vision from our next generation CEO, the iconic Seltzer’s brand is preparing for national expansion through innovation, creativity, and forward thinking.


Role: The main function of the Store Supervisor role will be to run the day-to-day operations for the Seltzer’s Outlet Store. The role will work closely with the Seltzer’s leadership team, planning delivery for our Ecommerce & local fundraiser platforms, our iconic Smokehouse Tour operation & other daily store operations. You will be responsible for leading our team of associates, assigning work schedules to meet the needs of operation & work closely with staff to train and guide them on basic daily tasks such as packing and shipping Ecommerce fulfillment, stocking shelves, rotating products & ordering supplies. The Outlet is open 9:00 - 5:00 Tuesday through Saturday: NO evenings or Sundays (unless we have advance scheduled events.)


The ideal candidate should have previous retail experience with key holder capacity. We are looking for a highly motived self-starter able to problem-solve, effectively manage time, be analytical, highly organized and detail oriented. Strong communication skills are required to effectively sell Seltzers products and deal with challenging situations when they arise. A 4-year college degree in business or 3+ years of relevant experience is preferred.


Responsibilities:


  • Nice to Have: Experience with community fundraising &/or e-commerce platform management
  • Evaluating staff based on performance-based metrics
  • Scheduling and managing Smokehouse tours
  • Helping to create advertising campaigns for attracting new customers, retaining current customers and helping to create both in and outside store promotions for attracting customers
  • A 4-year college degree in business (Desired) or 3+ years of relevant retail management experience is required.
  • Training new employees and providing ongoing education for employees
  • Fulfillment shipping for Ecommerce & local fundraising events
  • Managing operations; both retail store and company
  • Recruiting, interviewing, hiring & managing in-store staff
  • Providing staff financial goals and sales targets to meet on a scheduled basis
  • Creating employee schedules, assigning schedules and responsibilities to employees, checking to see if these responsibilities and assignments are carried through in the store
  • Setting criteria for staff, such as sales performance and customer approval or complaints
