We pride ourselves on our commitment to going above and beyond for our employees with benefits including: STARTING PAY OF $21.35 Evening Shift Differential $2.00 / Midnight Shift Differential $2.50 / Weekend Shift Differential $2.00 FREE TRAINING GREAT BENEFITS Principal Purpose: This position is responsible for assisting the Program Manager in day-to-day management and operations of the community living setting, supervision of staff, implementation of individual support plans, and supporting the individual's Pony Bird, Inc serves. This position is responsible for recordkeeping as assigned to comply with agency policies/procedures and local, state. and federal standards associated with licensure, laws, funding, and accreditation processes. Responsibilities: Assist individuals with activities of daily living when needed. Provide transportation for residents utilizing agency vehicles. Must have a good driving record to allow the agency to insure the employee. Monitor staff time and submit necessary paperwork to HR. Assist Program Manager with employee service evaluations and maintenance of personnel files. Schedule and accompany individuals served to medical/dental appointments as needed. Check and distribute mail to individuals daily. Assist Program Manager in assessing each individual served habilitative progress and in the development of the monthly progress reports. Review all incident reports and assists Program Manager with identifying trends and corrective actions. Monitor use of facility supplies and orders supplies when needed. Assist Program Manager in communicating with parents/guardians /family members, service coordinators, and other professional service providers in the community. Maintain office files and equipment. Provide immediate supervision for DSP in the community living setting and assist Program Manager with corrective action procedures. Assist and monitor staff schedules, handle services and changes in the evening/weekends. Participate in a 24- hour on-call rotation with other community living management. Assist Program Manager with staff in-service, orientation, and on-going training. Manage employee issues and requests. Assist in decisions regarding hiring, terminations, and corrective action. Covers shifts when needed to maintain mandated ratios. Manage community living setting in Program Manager's absence. Create and monitor staff schedules, time sheets, and approve payroll. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Human Services with two years experience in community residential setting or high school/GED diploma with five years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities in community residential setting. Two years supervisory experience preferred. Must possess the ability to obtain CPR, First Aid and Medication Aide Certifications. Must have a valid driver's license in good standing/insurable. Must possess the ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, in a clear and professional manner. Physical Demands: Must be in good physical health and capable of lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance and walking or standing for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift, stoop, carry, turn, and assist multi-disabled and non-ambulatory individuals. Must be able to physically evacuate individuals served in the event of fire, natural disaster, or another emergency. Must be able to perform CPR and non-violent crisis intervention techniques (MANDT). Work Environment: Work setting will be primarily a community living/home setting with individuals with mild to severe intellectual/developmental disabilities and physical limitations. Adaptable work schedule with ability to flex times to best meet the needs of the individuals and department. Flexible hours, including evenings and/or weekends as needed to serve the needs of the agency. Community activities will be in a variety of places such as stores, restaurants, churches, and other special events that could be both indoors and outdoors. Outdoor events could include weather conditions such as cold, hot, rain, and snow. On call phone outside of office hours. The position will be scheduled as a 4-weekday position that will rotate every other weekend and split between day and evening shifts (example 12pm - 8pm).
