Job Description
The Monson Housing Authority, is seeking a position of Resident Service Coordinator
Responsibilities
The Resident service coordinator will be responsible for empowering and supporting residents in the following ways:
  • Establish goals, track and measure progress. Analyze and use resident and program data as the basis for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain all necessary information regarding services to residents in a confidential manner following the regulatory guidance provided by HUD. Remain updated on Fair Housing, mandated reporting and other pertinent HUD rules and regulations
  • Coordinate the delivery of services with local human service providers
  • Develop and implement supportive service programming in collaboration with residents, site staff & management and local community service providers
  • Collaborate and coordinate with Property Management team to ensure residents remain stably housed and in compliance with lease terms.
  • Effectively and creatively communicate with residents (such as by newsletter, flyer, bulletin board, door knocking etc.,) to ensure residents are informed of available resources and programs
  • Identify promising programs or opportunities for youth and families in the community, examples include: afterschool and summer programs, career coaching and job training, budgeting workshops, health benefits enrollment and workshops, community engagement activities, and more
  • Assess the needs of residents and families living in the Authorities Communities’ by administering an annual resident survey
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will ideally have:
  • Basic proficiency in the use of computers including Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Ability to travel throughout the neighborhood and engage in door knocking efforts
  • Ability to work with and motivate diverse resident populations
  • College degree ideally with a focus in social work, urban planning, public health, human services, or community development. Degree preferred but experience considered.
  • Minimum of one-year prior experience in resident/social service programs (preferably in affordable housing)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and basic computer skills
