Reservations Sales Specialist - Full-Time / Regular

The Reservations Sales Agent is responsible for all room reservations aspects from group to individual travelers. Provide guests with the highest level of personal service and deliver exceptional levels of service with every guest and every stay.

Essential Functions

• Process WRO, Trust, Internal Reservations, and FIT reservations
• Answer general reservations e-mail, retrieve and distribute mail and process brochure requests
• Contact guests or travel planners to clarify any discrepancies in the preferences or requests before guests’ arrival
• Maintain Chat
• Capture sales from in-coming reservations calls and coordinate details of each reservation
• Complete internal reservation forms
• Review all guest reservations and profiles daily to prepare for arrivals, using the pre-arrival screen in Opera, minimum of 2 days prior to arrival
• Run appropriate reports checking for special requests and hard blocking any rooms that are not hard blocked for special requests, inform Manager of any Special Attention, VIP
• Monitoring and correcting various levels and standards of data entry into the Property Management System by different users in the hotel

Knowledge And Skills

Education

• High school education or equivalent required

Experience

• Previous phone experience and basic phone etiquette skills
• Previous hotel experience

Skills And Abilities

• Proficient computer skills and knowledge in Microsoft Office products, Opera, Salesforce and other programs as needed
• Remote position (location dependent) or on-site
• Adaptable and able to learn new skills and tasks efficiently
• Well organized and able to prioritize in a busy environment
• Ability to sell and convert reservation inquiries
• Able to communicate and understand well in English through verbal and written skills
• History of working in a team environment and developing working relationships
• Open to constructive feedback
