Summary
The Research Program Manager (RPM) is responsible for defining strategic direction, portfolio management and project managing clinical research within the X-Ray (XR) business. The RPM leads cross-functional planning, tracking, communication of status, and execution of research activities. This includes wing to wing execution for research activities: taking defined projects from development, through management, and closure, while meeting all quality, content, schedule, and budget targets. The role requires foundation in research and project management with preference for experience in X-Ray and/or Artificial Intelligence (AI).Preferred location: Waukesha, WI; however can be remote.

Essential Responsibilities
- Drafts agreements based on templates, negotiates budget, and executes contracts with external partners and processes payments.
- Project manage defined research activities which include, internal and external, GEHC and Investigator Sponsored studies, including pre and post market evaluations, product evaluations, reader studies and other activities defined to meet strategic research needs.
- Follow scientific developments related to XR through participation in MABs, scientific conferences, scientific/medical training sessions, and strategic partner meetings.
- Lead the development of research strategy with Business General Manager, Chief Engineer and engineering teams, Director of Product Management, Marketing Director, Clinical Manager, Regulatory Affairs, Legal/Compliance, Central Research Organization, and academic institutions
- Ensures that the research activities abide by all defined cross-functional standards, meets the intent and letter of Phased Review Discipline, QMS, SOPs, GCP, and all compliance and regulatory requirements of the applicable regions.
- Develops research documents as required, including protocols, plans, informed consent forms, and required storage of research documents including managing.
- Seek out new academic research collaborators, develop and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders
- Responsible for ensuring the research portfolio supports the business focus and the individual study results are being utilized and delivering impact
Qualifications & Requirements
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Ability to manage research budgets, resources, and timelines
- Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in life science, engineering, clinical field or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to execute and deliver results
- 3+ years work experience in clinical research, engineering, or technical research
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be U.S. based
- Clear thinking/problem solving; success leading cross-functional projects/process improvement within operations function involving process improvement; able to quickly grasp new ideas
- Demonstrated ability to build lasting cross-functional relationships
Desired Characteristics
- Domain expertise in XR and/or Artificial Intelligence (AI) and/or clinical research
- Demonstrated understanding/experience with Good Clinical Practices, global and regional research regulations, research processes, New Product Introduction (NPI) cycle and cross-functional interdependencies
- Professional certification in Project Management (PMP) or clinical research (CCRP, CCRA, or CCRN)
- Master’s Degree in science or related field or advance medical degree
