Research Assistant Jobs

Meta Reality Labs is looking for a hard-working and flexible individual to provide basic to mid-level end-user support to our Data Collection team. This position requires the ability to diagnose, identify, research, and troubleshoot a variety of data collection related issues. This role requires a courteous individual who can provide patient and efficient assistance pertaining to software and hardware.

This position requires availability for an 8-hour shift daily, between 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST Monday through Friday On-site at the data collection facility. Ability to work remotely on some days will be permitted as well. Below are listed responsibilities and requirements for this position:

● Stage, set up, and/or manage equipment and lab spaces to be used for experiments at the data collection center

● Supervise Data Collection which include collection of informed consent, supervising experiment protocols participants, handling of confidential data, and creation of basic reports

● Conduct data quality checks on large volumes of data collected and generate monthly analytical report on the quality of data collected

● Work with manager to generate reports detailing logistics of onsite data collected and maintain an inventory of data collection forms/ID to ensure ease of data retrieval

● Performs good documentation practices with ground truth equipment instructions and ensures compliance in their documentation

● Actively communicate with partners (Tech Support Specialist and Operations Manager) on any onsite disruptions and follow-through to the resolution of data collection issues

● Ensure proper documentation of all data collection issues interaction and prepare accurate & timely reporting

● Train newly hired junior RAs on In-Lab data collection proceedings

Key performance measurements:

-Excellent problem solving and analytical skills: interact with and working with appropriate team to find a solution to a wide range of data collection issues in a timely manner

-Must have amazing comms skills so they can properly work with the labs and teams as they won’t always have their CWAM on hand and can quickly determine the best way to trigger comms and important updates.

-Process improvement: work with science & engineering team to establish an effective workflow of reporting and getting solution to study related issues
