Job Description
Ethics and Public Policy Center is seeking a highly organized and


detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our team. As the Medical Records Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining and reviewing medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness. You will work closely with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and others to ensure that patient records are up-to-date and accessible.


Tasks


Responsibilities


  • Ensuring patient confidentiality and complying with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collecting and organizing medical records from healthcare providers and other sources.
  • Maintaining accurate and organized paper and electronic filing systems.
  • Inputting data into electronic medical records systems.
  • Responding to requests for medical records from healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies.
  • Ensuring that all records are complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
  • Maintaining accurate records of patient medical histories, examinations, treatments, and other information.


Requirements


  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Medical records certification or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
