Position Summary

The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for developing and supporting front-end / user facing solutions utilized in reporting, analytics, or embedded within other applications. The position will also perform data analysis, communication with team members and business stakeholders, and support existing front-end / user facing solutions. This position will also coordinate and review the work activities of offshore development and support resources.

Position Responsibilities May Include, But Not Limited To

• Communicate with other BI team members, offshore team members, and cross-IT staff on support and project activities
• Provide off-hour/weekend support (on a rotating basis)
• Work with offshore support/development resources
• Assist with risk and issue identification
• Ensure solutions comply with security and authentication standards of the organization
• Enrich experience of our business partners interacting with our data through use of drill downs, filters, and visualizations
• Perform data analysis and create data models for peer review
• Responsible for the development and support of front-end / user facing solutions
• Create and enhance data sets that promote ease of use and consistency in naming conventions and metric definition
• Other projects or duties as assigned
• Prepare and execute unit tests
• Assist with task identification and effort estimates for reporting development

Required Skills And Experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Experience writing moderate to complex SQL code
• 1+ years of Power BI experience, including experience with Data Set creation and utilizing DAX
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline and 2-4+ years of related experience OR High School Diploma and 5-6+ years of related experience

Preferred Skills And Experience

• Experience working on agile / SCRUM teams including offshore resources
• Microsoft Azure experience
• Experience w/ other BI, Analytics, or Data Science tools
• Experience with Snowflake
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
• Knowledge of data warehousing and data ingestion and modeling concepts
