Role: Regulatory Technician (Compliance)

Position Description:
The Regulatory Technician assists in executing complex and varied tasks related to support of the Colorado based team. This Tech is accountable for ensuring accuracy, completeness, and processing of all compliance data through knowledge, application, and coordination with various regulatory agencies.
- Ensures data quality, data management and reviews operations data for accuracy and makes corrections as necessary.
- Liaise with other departments and regulatory agencies for data collection purposes.
- Prepares and files forms to regulatory agencies as required specifically, but not limited to Form 4, 5, 5A, 5B, 5C, 6, 6A, 17, 19, 21, 44, and FIRR.
- Responsible for acquisition and processing of compliance and field operations data to be filed with government regulatory agencies.
- Able to resolve routine questions and problems.
- Knowledge of WellEZ, zdSCADA, Project Canary, CleanConnect AI, and Ecesis software.
- Evaluates and responds to 811 requests.
- Interacts with operations teams to provide regulatory services.
- Demonstrates commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
- Remains informed of changes to rules and regulations which impact oil and gas operations.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and processes.
Requirements and Skills:
- Anticipates and proactively reacts to mitigate problems.
- Requires knowledge of petro-technical terms.
- Requires knowledge of regulatory and permitting processes specifically for Colorado.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well autonomously or in a team setting.
- Requires advanced computer skills and knowledge of a variety of discipline specific software.
- 3-5 years regulatory experience. (DJ Basin experience required)
- Regulatory information resource facilitating efficient flow of documents required for uninterrupted field operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field; will also consider work experience with position specific skills.
Position Details:
Location: Englewood, CO
Schedule: Hybrid (2-3 days per week in office, field visits as needed)
Pay Rate: $50-$65/ Hour based on experience.
