Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
LEADERSHIP: Leads, plans, organizes, and administers the College's Registrar’s Office in performing its various functions (including residency, PII and data updates, transcripts, end of term, graduation confirmation, Veteran Affairs, scheduling, curriculum, and enrollment reporting). Develops strategic plans and objectives for the department. Resolves complex student and office problems.
SUPERVISION & DEPARTMENT DEVELOPMENT: Hire, mentor, train, supervise, and motivate a high performing team of Registrar professionals dedicated to holistic registration and records processes, student outreach/engagement, and providing excellent service to students, parents, colleagues, and the community.
SYSTEMS: Provides oversight to assure all student record processes and systems (technology) are efficient, effective, provide data integrity, and meet service standards and compliance/accreditation requirements. Provides key strategic leadership in enhancing current processes and in implementing systems improvements that are reflective of advanced modern technology, service delivery, and best practices nationally
COMMUNICATION & ADVISING: Develops, coordinates and/or oversees Registrar related communication and educational programs for faculty, staff, and students using a variety of methods. Prepares and presents internal workshops, trainings, and seminars about Registrar and Records policies and procedures. Counsels administration, faculty, students, and families regarding institutional policy, procedures, rights, and responsibilities.
COMPLIANCE & ACCREDITATION: Assures complete, detailed, and auditable records of all aspects of the student record are accurately maintained. Conducts research and analysis to assess compliance efforts and accreditation best practices for future improvements. Prepares and submits required federal, state, and accreditation reports in partnership with IE/IR, Finance, and Financial Aid.
POLICY: Monitors and proposes updated institutional policies and procedures to Academic Leadership, advocating for students and consistency with flexibility, and implementing approved changes. Anticipates, analyzes, and communicates the potential impact of changes in accreditation and institutional rules, policies, and practices on the college and our students. Stays abreast of rapidly changing legislation, regulations, and guidance governing institutional compliance.
Performs other duties as assigned. Serves on College cross-function strategic committees and represents college position on critical issues, including participation on Technical College system-wide initiatives and presentation of information and discussion at public forums.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
Master's degree in student services, business management, public administration, or administrative services; or a Bachelor's degree and two (2) years experience in student services, business management, public administration, or administrative services; or Associate degree and four (4) years of experience in student services, business management, public administration, or administrative services.
