Job Description
Seeking a part-time RN in Mesa or Scottsdale to give immunizations and health advice to people who are traveling abroad.

Description

As a Registered Nurse/Pre-Travel Health Consultant you will be meeting with patients who are traveling abroad to provide travel health advice and vaccinations. You will review each patient’s medical history, travel itinerary, and relevant CDC guidelines for their destination countries. Away Clinic’s patients travel primarily to exotic locations in Africa, Southeast Asia and Latin America.

Job Duties

  • Provide friendly customer service to all patients.
  • Ensure that clinic and storage areas are clean, well organized and well-maintained.
  • Provide appropriate immunizations and medically sound pre-travel health advice.
  • Practice appropriate storage, handling and inventory control of vaccines.
  • Communicate effectively with Away Clinic representatives, patients, and other relevant parties.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.
  • Accept delivered packages which includes but not limited to carrying and lifting vaccine boxes.
  • Administer vaccines to adults and children of all ages in a safe, skillful manner, following all appropriate safety protocols as outlined by Immunize.org.
  • Diligently participate in Away Clinic and designated third-party training to ensure up to date knowledge of travel medicine and vaccination.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Registered Nurse certification with current license in good standing.
  • Willingness to travel to other clinics in the area.
  • Superior interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate modern computer hardware and software, including patient medical records software.
  • Ability to become familiar with CDC guidelines and other relevant travel health best practices
  • Flexible and able to communicate using a mobile device.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and ability to communicate effectively with corporate clients.
  • Access to a vehicle is preferred.
  • First Aid/CPR certified.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties without in-person supervision.


Salary

$37 - $42 per hour
