Job Description
Issaquah Premier Dental – one of Issaquah’s top-rated dental offices – is hiring Registered Dental Hygienists (RDH) for full-time & part-time permanent positions. A rare opportunity to join a dynamic & fast growing practice with great patients and teammates. The job duties include conducting initial patient screenings, cleaning teeth (e.g. removing plaque) and educating patients on oral health and preventative care. You’ll also assist the dentist on duty craft treatments for teeth or gum diseases and handle dental emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Take X-rays
  • Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
  • Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
  • Sterilize dental instruments properly
  • Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
  • Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer)
  • Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
  • Monitor supplies
  • Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
  • Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
  • Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride)

Qualifications

  • Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
  • Diploma in Dental Hygiene
  • Open to feedback and being proactive at work
  • Valid licence to practice
  • Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job
  • Attention to detail
  • A patient and friendly personality
  • Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
