Job Description

NOV is immediately hiring for a Regional Sales Manager - Telecom. The Regional Sales Manager will implement, and drive relationship-centric sales strategies and action plans to penetrate assigned targets to meet or exceed company goals and objectives (including sales, profitability, and product portfolio management). The position requires occasional domestic travel for the determined focus area.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Complete regular and details sales reports as directed and required
  • Ability to conduct and close win-win solution-oriented negotiations
  • Coordinate and collaborate with end users, Agents/Representatives, Engineers, and others defined to write or enforce a specification
  • Maintain CRM records and activities
  • Assist in the alignment of products, services, and operations to deliver on customer requirements and challenges
  • Maintains and grows effective relationships with customers based on trust.
  • Achieve key financial KPIs in the assigned territory
  • Dedicated to meeting and exceeding the expectations of customers
  • Provide feedback to technical sales engineering to identify, develop, and specify products
  • Present a level of technical understanding and aptitude of product lines
  • Strategically enhance and support the territory sales representatives and distributors
  • Monitor and follow up on quote activity to achieve conversion rate KPIs
  • Keeps customers and sales channels well-trained on products and solutions
  • Openly cooperate and collaborate with Telecom Team Members, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations as well as Lighting Regional Account Managers
  • Establish strong trust-based relationships with territory accounts

Job Responsibilities:

  • Understands financial calculations (cost, margins, commissions, etc.)
  • Understands how to develop and implement strategies and tactics that work in the local and national marketplace
  • Aptitude to understand the small cell and smart infrastructure market drivers
  • Key problem-solving and solution-based analyst skills

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of previous high-level sales experience with proven results
  • Competent at using CRM software or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
  • Wireless industry or similar technical industry experience and knowledge is highly preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experienced in selling at all levels
  • Small Cell equipment configurations and implementation knowledge preferred.
  • Capable of technically understanding NOV’s portfolio of products and services to align them to the sales strategy
