About Us

Scheuch, located in Lenexa, Kansas, is a family-owned business headquartered in Austria. We've been engineering innovative air and environmental technology for industrial applications for more than 50 years. Whether the solutions involve extraction, dedusting, conveying, flue gas purification, or plant manufacturing, Scheuch is a leading expert in various industries. We offer our customers application-specific, high-quality solutions to air and environmental technology issues.

About The Position

Your role will be a key part of the Scheuch sales organization. Ideally, the position would be based in Pennsylvania. However, we are open to surrounding states. With roughly 200 employees across the US, this position offers you the potential to grow with our organization. This is especially true for a candidate who steps into and owns this role.

Here's a sampling of what you might encounter on an average day.

  • Maintain existing contacts; establish communication and assistance to grow Scheuch sales levels.
  • Provide forecasts for management.
  • Maintain knowledge of current industry trends and competitive activities and provide company sales and marketing teams with input.
  • Personal contact and follow-up with proposals generated in open territories.
  • Determine potential candidates for recruitment and appointment as prime representatives in marketing areas in your region.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives on strategic pricing and positioning for key projects.
  • Minimize territorial conflicts and rep cancellations.
  • Overall ownership and accountability for Manufacturer's Rep Sales in your region.
  • Train newly hired representatives on the application and technical aspects of the product lines.
  • Identify potential representatives, set up appointments, and present Scheuch's portfolio.
  • Travel in a planned and coordinated manner as required in their region.
  • Upgrade the national rep network through training, additions, or replacements.
  • Monitor and screen rep RFQs to ensure viability prior to quote generation by the quotations team.
  • Make customer calls with representatives to key customers to increase their knowledge and ability to sell Scheuch products more effectively.

Skills You Need To Bring With You

From a technical perspective, our ideal candidate will bring the following skills & experience with them:

  • Self-starter, self-motivated, self-directed, high-energy individual.
  • Managing and prioritizing multiple tasks.
  • Excellent people skills, highly effective communicator, and motivator.
  • Loyalty, honesty, integrity, and professionalism are company values.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, or equivalent practical knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Applicants must demonstrate experience in manufacturing environments; appropriate operational knowledge will be provided with special emphasis on companies that manufacture air pollution control systems.
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions effectively with solid critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Provide sales support and manage outside sales reps.
  • Communicate clearly, plan workload effectively, and work under pressure.

Our Team

We are a collaborative group. Fit is really a priority for us. We're a group of down-to-earth people who are willing to roll up our sleeves to get the job done; whoever joins us should have that same mindset, a sense of humor, a strong business mind, total accountability for deadlines, and a ton of self-motivation and energy.
