SUMMARY STATEMENT OF POSITION RECOVERY SUPPORT SPECIALIST: Under the direction of the Recovery Support Supervisor, the Recovery Support Specialist (CRSP) provides outreach and support to clients in the Community Readiness & Support Program (CRSP) and facilitates skill-teaching groups. This position also provides information on the recovery process and will promote opportunities to enhance the ability of clients served to move into recovery. SCHEDULE/ LOCATION /SALARY: Monday
  • 3:00 pm Community Readiness Support Program, 8221 Willow Oaks Corporate Drive, Suit 3-409 C, Fairfax, VA 22031 $20.00/Hr. estimated starting salary based on qualifications and related experience BENEFITS: Medical/Dental/Vision 11 Paid Holidays PTO and Sick Time, Birthday Time (Up to two (2) hours of leave the week prior to, week of, or week after birthday) 403 b with Employer Matching QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED. High degree of empathy toward the clients we serve. Effective interpersonal and written communication skills including the ability to facilitate groups. Must be a consumer (past or present) of mental health services. Certified Peer Specialist preferred. PRIMARY DUTIES OF THE RECOVERY SUPPORT SPECIALIST: Provides outreach phone calls to active/inactive clients in the Recovery Academy. Documents outreach contacts in clients' electronic health record. Completes orientation for clients admitted to the Recovery Academy. Completes Orientation Checklist on newly admitted clients in the electronic health record. Updates Recovery Academy team on changes in level of functioning for clients served. Communicates to clinical staff the need for crisis intervention for clients served. Provides assistance in transportation education. Provides education on the recovery process based on personal experience and program material.
