We are looking for a Receiving Dock Clerk to join our winning team in Chattanooga, TN.

Under the direction of the warehouse manager, warehouse assistant manager, and shift supervisor, this individual will perform a wide variety of duties, some of a confidential nature, including clerical and technical functions, strenuous manual labor, shipping, receiving, order processing, industrial equipment use, and inventory control functions. A receiving clerk will interact both verbally and in writing with management, co-workers, customers, and vendors on a daily basis in a professional and courteous manner.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lifts and moves heavy material
• Stocks and pulls material off shelves
• Observes and implements policies and procedures
• Inspects materials and makes detailed receiving/shipping notes
• Maintains confidential information
• Abides by all federal and state driving laws and regulations
• Operates industrial equipment
• Enters information in to AS/400
• Greets and assists customers in a courteous and helpful manner
• Paints and line marks incoming/outgoing mate
• Abides by all safety rules and regulations and performs work safely
• Identifies materials by painted color codes
• Loads and unloads material
• Packs and unpacks material

Position Requirements

igh School Diploma or GED required

▪ Ability to find, enter, and print information on a computer as necessary

▪ Ability to pass physical requirements exam for vision and hearing, as well as mobility and lifting requirements

▪ Experience performing high level maintenance working in a fast paced industrial environment

▪ Previous metal processing equipment maintenance experience a plus.
