QUALIFICATIONS: - Good cow/calf experience, need to know cows and calves- Experience in animal health and backgrounding a plus- Must handle cattle in a quiet manner- Ability to work well independently as well as with a team is a necessity/need to be a team player- Need to be hard working and a self-starter- Require good experience with hay production, equipment operations, general equipment maintenance, fencing, etc. JOB DESCRIPTION: Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a good Ranch Assistant for this Nebraska ranch operation. Need experience and prefer someone interested in cows and calves. Need to have experience in calving and be able to work well with other people and have a strong work ethic, as this person will be working with other people and working long days during calving and peak times. Will assist pasture counts, hay production, equipment maintenance, building & maintaining fences. Some horseback work, but person wouldn't have to ride horseback as everything can be done on ATV. In the summer person will help hay and move hay around. Person must be dependable, reliable, have good decision-making skills, and be a self-starter and who's willing to assist in all areas of the operation. Ideally the employer would like to see someone that has 3-5+ years working experience and knowledge. Great opportunity with a progressive operator.
