As a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray Tech), you will perform diagnostic imaging studies as assigned, utilize appropriate principles of radiation protection, exercise professional judgement in the performance of imaging procedures and be responsible for providing care of patients in your charge.


Required Qualifications:

  • Certified by The American Registry of Radiological Technologists
  • 3 assigned holidays a year
  • Associates degree in a related medical field of study or equivalent experience
  • Considerable knowledge of standard office practices and procedures along with knowledge of computers and software programs specific to the UCMC and the radiology department
  • Licensed by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)
  • CPR certification
  • Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic technology training in an AMA approved program
  • Maintain required continuing education as mandated by The American Registry of Radiological Technologists

Must comply with UCMC’s COVID-19 Vaccination requirement as a condition of employment. If you have already received the vaccination, you must provide proof as part of the pre-employment process. This is in addition to your compliance with the Flu Vaccination requirement as well. Medical and religious exemptions will be considered consistent with applicable law. Lastly, a pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check are also required for all employees prior to hire.
