Job Description
Mobile Vascular Physicians, MVP, is an industry-leader in vascular care. We provide concierge vascular and interventional services to long-term care facilities throughout New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. MVP focuses on prevention and healing lower extremity wounds and ensuring each patient’s vascular disease is managed properly so they can maintain or improve their overall health and avoid hospitalization and irreversible disease. Our highly skilled clinicians are widely recognized in their field for their endovascular expertise. They provide compassionate and evidence-based care to long-term care residents as well as outpatients. When necessary, our out-patient care facilities are equipped to handle invasive procedures and treatments.

  • Must demonstrate the knowledge of the principle of growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients’ requirements relative to his/her age specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the Centers policies and procedures
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support the American Heart Association preferred
  • ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologist required
  • Ability to understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
  • Assist in maintaining the sterile field during procedures and to notify interventionalist of any break in sterile procedure
  • Ability to safely lift, and physically manipulate patients
  • Knowledge of x-ray principles, procedures, and standards
  • Assist in interventional procedures by operating the C-Arm, scrub-in for procedures including but not limited to angiograms, venograms, angioplasty, atherectomy and other endovascular procedures
  • Participates in opportunities of continuing education
  • Licensed/registered with the appropriate state agency
  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments
  • Assist vascular care team with patient and procedure room preparation and post-procedure clean-up
  • Knowledge of sterile procedures
  • Knowledge of appropriate x-ray exposure times and safety parameters
  • Assist the vascular care team with counting needles, sponges, and instruments as well as track use of medications and supplies during procedures
  • BLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association required
  • Demonstrate the ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with patients, co-workers, and other health team members
  • Ability to calibrate, configure, and adjust x-ray equipment and associated facilities and devices in accordance with procedures and standards
  • Physical, Vaccines and Titers PPD/TB, COVID, Flu, Hep B, MMR, Varicella required
  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served in the Vascular Care Center
  • Knowledge of the physical and operational characteristics of radiologic equipment
  • Assist in scheduling patients for vascular procedures and aid in patient transport within the Vascular Care Center
  • Graduate of approved Radiologic Technical program required
  • Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies both for the Vascular Care Center and in the procedure room
  • Assist as needed with the effective operation of the Vascular Care Center
  • Send Fluoroscopic and Ultrasound images to appropriate archive communication system
  • Maintain radiology safety-monitoring procedures and serve as the Radiation Safety Designee (RSD) for the center
  • Annotation of fluoroscopic images
