Job Summary
This term limited position (5 years) will support the Radiology department in development and coordination of the expanded diagnostic imaging student programs. This position will partner with the Admin Manager and operations director to organize and coordinate the clinical students for the Radiology clinical imaging programs.

Responsibilities*
Plan, direct, organize and supervise in conjunction with the Radiology student program guidelines and affiliation agreements. Collaborate with modality and site managers to ensure proper assignments and education of students in clinical rotations. Indirect management of technical Clinical instructors including meetings. Orientate new students to each area. Gather and track all required documents for the clinical experience including immunizations. This includes Michigan medicine orientation. Establishing student guidelines including rotation schedules, call in procedures, etc. Overseeing student Evals/Comps/etc. is completed by school deadlines. Attend clinical preceptor meetings. Partner with modalities to ensure programs met the standards determined by radiology administration for program growth. Participate in advisory boards for student develop with our program partners. Provide updates to Radiology Administration. Co-chair the Radiology student imaging committee. Coordinate all student interns and student temps clinical rotations. Partner with legal to ensure all program legal documents are up to date. Participate in department recruitment strategies. Actively participate in improvement strategies as part of the Radiology QASI team. Build and maintain relationships with local colleges. Community engagement and presentations to highlight radiology opportunities. Track graduation and employment of our clinical students for data review. Identifying, resolving, and communicating problems and barriers to director. Be familiar with JRCERT. Other duties as assigned by director/manager.
Required Qualifications*
Associates Degree or higher.
Must be able to problem-solve using good judgment.
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Assuring compliance with institutional goals, objectives, policies, standards, and guidelines.
Demonstrating personal integrity, enthusiasm, and empathy to internal and external customers
Committing to team development, communication, and quality improvement. Educate and monitor mandatory competencies for patient safety, infection control, fire safety, corporate compliance, and patient confidentiality. Including additional assigned educational modules for self-improvement.
Desired Qualifications*
BCLS Certification
ARRT Registry
Proven job leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to problem solve, address staffing needs, and meet operational needs.
Previous experience working and/or managing imaging students.
Bachelor’s degree.
Previous supervisory experience.
Credentialed in an imaging modality.
Project management and scheduling experience.
Work Schedule
Normally Mon through Friday, some flexibility required.
Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
