Constructive Moves have been instructed by a highly reputable specialist sub-contractor for a Quantity Surveyor to join there business based in Kent. The company predominantly focus on fire prevention sector projects including carpentry and joinery in London and the South East.

The suitable Quantity Surveyor will have experience working within a specialist contractor previously with knowledge of the fire/joinery sector.

Delivering the project within budget and project specification as tendered.

Continually searching for opportunities to improve financial performance and mitigate the commercial risks that may exist

Administer and manage the financial aspects of the project from handover to completion in accordance with the contract requirements and company procedures.

Liaise with the client's project team contractors and other trades to maintain subcontractor relations ensuring a good working relationship is developed.

Responsible for reporting costs

Purchasing materials and labour and specialist services within budget

Looking for ways to improve margins with new contracts

Tracking change through design

To manage and update the client expectations

Regular cost reports and applications

Reporting any delays and claims to the client in accordance with the contract.

Relevant qualification (Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management etc.) Full UK Driver's Licence
