Job Description
General Job Duties


  • Direct all non-conforming parts to the appropriate reprocess area.
  • Adhere to all safety and health objectives, policies, and procedures of IAC to provide for a safe and healthful workplace. Work in a safe manner always and report any unsafe conditions to your supervisor in order that the situation can be corrected. Report all accidents and near misses in a timely manner when they occur.
  • Meet all customer requirements and specifications
  • Monitoring and work to improve and prevent any quality problem ( containment activities)
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure all material at customer facilities meet all requirements defined
  • Follow Company policies and display conduct expected of IAC employees as described in the Work Plant Rules and Work Safety Rules.
  • Perform continuous product audit, make feedback to plant any opportunity to improve
  • Clean all assigned work areas after completion of the required work, return all tools to proper storage area at the end of the shift and report any malfunctioning equipment.
  • Report any risk on deliveries due low inventory or quality issue at customer facilities
  • To demonstrate problem solving skills in a work environment that is striving for continuous improvement.
  • To meet and maintain all customer quality standards as well as the standards of IAC.
  • Always maintain proper ergonomics when performing assigned tasks.
  • Work overtime as needed in accordance with Company Policy and CBA.
  • Assist operations to meet or exceed daily production goals and departmental objectives as directed.
  • Operate all resources assigned to meet customer requirements and avoid disruptions in customer production line related to our products
  • Ensure quality records, visual alerts and clean point at customer facilities
  • Report, document and follow up all quality- logistics failures
  • To exhibit teamwork skills and actively participate in team activities in a positive working environment.
  • Meet safety requirements at customer facilities
  • Participate and support all lean, continuous improvement programs, initiatives, and activities.
  • Maintain proper radio etiquette when using company radios, PA system and/or phone, business use only.
  • Contribute to achieve Cost, Quality and Delivery objectives
  • Perform all assigned tasks per the TPM, SOP (standard operating procedures), manufacturing alerts, safety alerts and quality alerts.


Specific Job Duties


  • Maintain calibration of quality control equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain test data for review.
  • Identify areas for quality control improvement and implement new methods accordingly.
  • Actively support sorting and containment activities for Customer concerns and internal concerns.
  • First piece testing required daily for MOAG and tub gages on Overhead systems and door gages.
  • Perform inspections across all stages of production.
  • Product audits in Work in Process and Finished Goods.
  • Create Quality alerts as needed.
  • Develop and maintain inspection reports.
  • Evaluate data and draft reports, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards.
  • Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency.
  • Bilingual, fluent in Spanish, preferred.


Educational Requirements


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret information.


Physical Requirements


This position requires a person to have the ability to perform work while standing or walking a minimum of eight (8) hours a day, the ability to lift to 15 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis, and the ability to perform work that is below the knees and above the shoulders on an occasional basis. This position also requires a person to be capable of performing sustained motion for a minimum of eight (8) hours a day and capable of repetitive motion for up to four (4) hours.
