Quality Supervisor Jobs

Dawn Staffing is seeking Quality Manager candidates for a food manufacturing customer in Bellingham, Washington.

• Salary based on experience in the $70-90K range.
• This important role Interacts with customers and suppliers on quality and performance issues. Leads administration of quality, process, and business improvement efforts.

Position Responsibilities:

• Take appropriate action to ensure the integrity of the SQF system, in accordance with SQF code.
• Represents quality assurance on enterprise-wide cross-functional teams
• Develops, implements, manages and tracks effectiveness of an integrated program, including systems, standards, procedures, measures and tools to assure that food safety, quality, sanitation and regulatory requirements are met for food products and operations
• Provide Food Safety Council
• Stays up to date and builds expertise in food safety best practices, public health regulations and industry best practices
• Assist in Research and Development activities.
• FMSA preventive controls.
• Conduct statistical analyses of food safety and quality data to assess compliance with related programs and determine where improvement is needed
• Gather, monitor, analyze and report on food quality information and related data.
• Critically analyze processes and procedures to identify and assess potential food safety hazards and quality defects.
• Provides support and training to operations with the objective of meeting food safety and quality requirements, while maintaining production efficiency.
• Establish monitors and maintains a quality assurance and quality control system
• Works to develop and coach Quality Assurance staff through proper coaching, training and counseling to ensure uniform interpretation and application of standards and procedures
• Communicate essential information to relevant personnel for an effective implantation and maintenance of the SQF system.
• Implementation and maintenance of the quality management system, including HACCP to ensure to continuous improvement of quality.
• Responsible to develop, validate, verify, implement, maintain and review SQF system, including food safety and food quality.
• Verify, Create and Update Labels based in the new requirements.
• Interact regularly with engineering, manufacturing and service functions to establish and define quality assurance standards for the site including manufacturing, sanitation, pest control, and disposition of ingredients or finished products
• Develops and delivers effective communications that provide partners at all levels with appropriate awareness and knowledge of quality assurance standards, program updates and process changes
• Ensure that food safety and quality assurance programs are properly implemented and maintained by following regulatory guidelines through auditing, product quality control and data entry.
• Translate and incorporate good manufacturing practices (GMP) into operational practice.
• Impart ongoing employee training for HACCP, SOPs and GMPS.
• Lead the Food Safety and HACCP team at respective site
• Review SOP's for accuracy.

Knowledge and Skills

• Advance level in Microsoft Office Suite
• Medium knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMP
• Food Service certification from a recognized educational institute or the equivalent education and experience.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
