Purpose of Role: The Quality Inspector will be responsible for in-process and final inspection for a wide variety of large, difficult, and complex detailed parts. They will work to develop and/or modify current methods in both manual techniques and computer aided inspection programs along with writing details operating instructions for Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and instruct others on use.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Focus Area: Assist other inspection teammates and machinists with operation and proper use of inspection equipment
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
  • Focus Area: Work from drawings and specifications to inspect a wide range of complex parts at various inspection points (Rough, in-process and final inspection) using a wide variety of gages and techniques
  • Focus Area: Write reports and input inspection results into computer system
  • Focus Area: Notify Quality Assurance Manager, Quality Engineer, Product Engineering, Production Management and other personnel as appropriate of parts not meeting specifications
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of inspection experience
  • Experience working with CMM and/or SAP preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
