Position Summary:
This role will be responsible for overseeing HARMAN'S warehouse quality processes and initiatives, with particular focus on AQL product sampling and inspection processes.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Provides oversight and direction to 3rd party warehouse provider.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Review monthly service provider invoices for accuracy and reasonability to stated costs in agreements.
  • Carry out Quality special stock inspection and rework projects and bring in temporary personnel as necessary to satisfy project demand. For projects carried out by the warehouse provider, verify that all quality requirements are met.
  • Responsible for leadership of containment actions when problems arise; follow through with corrective actions with supply base and or service providers.
  • Use quality systems software to document and track nonconformance records through closure.
  • Ensure all AQL NPI rejected units are tracked and shipped back to the manufacturer within 7-10 days for root cause analysis/corrective action.
  • NPI (New Product Introduction) Product Quality – Responsible for managing the execution of AQL incoming quality sampling process for all new consumer audio products to ensure product meets cosmetics, end-user functions, and packaging requirements. Report all nonconformance instances to Global Quality and regional quality teams.
  • Provide monthly reports on AQL and warehouse quality data.
Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 2-3 years experience in managing Quality processes, particularly in a warehouse environment.
  • At least 2-3 years experience in quality management methods and tools
  • Strong leadership and influence skills to manage 3rd party service providers
  • Effective problem-solving abilities with strong data-driven and effective analytical skills
  • Knowledge of electronics and acoustical parameter measurement using commercially available test equipment
  • Hands-on knowledge and experience with Six Sigma tools and methods for assessing and driving process quality performance
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel in pulling large amounts of data and extracting accurate analysis and information for continuous improvement
  • Exposure to sound reproduction systems (amplifier, audio video receivers, DVD, CD and speaker drivers )
  • BS Degree in technical/engineering field (or equivalent)
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP systems
