Salary Range: $67,186.00 (Min.) - $82,108.00 (Mid.) - $107,498.00 (Max.)

Job Summary


The Quality Improvement (QI) Specialist II will join the Quality Improvement (QI) department in support of the QI program documents, evaluation and assigned National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) standards and supporting regulatory and compliance documentation. This position will be responsible for collecting all relevant materials, updates, data and evidence of compliance with all quality related compliance requirements and NCQA standards. This position will also assist the QI Director and QI project managers in supporting quality initiatives that positively impact L.A. Care members. In addition, this position will also support assigned QI committee's to ensure accurate documentation and ensure required elements are reported timely.

Duties


Organizes and supports the QI program, evaluation and maintain the QI program documents to ensure accuracy and reflection of QI initiatives organization wide.

Organizes with various stakeholders within the department and organization to plan, develop, implement and evaluate projects and programs, manages project activities, develops measurable project goals and objectives and monitors progress toward achievement.

Prepares and maintains project documentation of procedures, proposals, deliverables, etc. Provides progress reports of the projects and helps facilitate the timely completion of deliverables, requests for services, etc.

Writes and disseminates work plans and project documents, including procedures, proposals, progress reports and presentations. Serves as liaison between the work group and the Business unit by using analytical ability to identify and track current deliverables.

Leads departmental project, e.g. budgeting.

Coordinates, collects and reports appropriate evidence of compliance with assigned projects and NCQA standards.

Assists QI Director and project managers as well as supports assigned QI committees.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education Required

Associate's Degree in Healthcare or Public Health
In lieu of degree, equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.

Experience

Required:

At least 4 years relevant QI health care experience.

Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot all project issues in a timely manner.

Excellent interpersonal skills to work alongside other project employees to meet all client specifications and requirements.

Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.

Intermediate in Microsoft Office and project management software tools.
