Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Quality First-Line Manager (Level K) to support the Interior Responsibility Center based out of North Charleston, South Carolina.
We are looking for a highly motivated, forward thinking first line Quality leader to join our team in IRC South Carolina. Our leader will develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with internal and external customers, collaborators, peers and direct reports.
This position will manage and integrate activities across multiple disciplines, develop and execute project and process plans using lean methodology, and set individual and team goals for short and long term strategies. Most importantly, we are looking for a leader to create a culture of continuous improvement for efficient and effective operations across varying shifts.
Position Responsibilities:
- Proactive partner with customers, peers and support teams to best meet company objectives
- Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies
- Remove roadblocks for teams, while mentoring them to do the same for themselves – teach, inspire and empower
- Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements
- Shape culture of safety and well-being through personal behavior and compliance to Company safety processes
- Manages, develops and motivates employees
- Maintain team compliance to company expectations and policies, e.g. attendance management, certifications, and training
- Provides education and coaching on the Quality System
- Lead problem solving and continuous improvement activities using your knowledge of Quality Management Systems
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, collaborators, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports
- Model the Boeing behaviors through individual actions and dialogue with your team
- Coach, motivate, and develop employees to thrive in a team environment
- Performs management activities across multiple (2 or more) Quality Management Job Families
- Seek opportunities to grow yourself as a leader
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience working with the Systematic Problem Solving
- Ability to work any shift based on the needs of the operation
- 1+ years of experience implementing Lean Manufacturing
- 3+ years of experience performing in a leadership role
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 1+ years of experience using the Quality Management System
- Experience with managing or working to safety, quality, and manufacturing performance data (knowledge of and demonstrated commitment to Go for Zero and Incident & Injury Free (IIF) principles)
- Training and/or experience with the Boeing Production System (BPS) and Problem Solving
- Experience with Lean Principles (Continuous Improvement, Standard Work, and 5-S tools)
- 3+ years of experience using systematic problem solving
- 3+ years of quality or direct manufacturing support experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience influencing and driving operational performance
