SkyWater is partnering with a mid-sized manufacturer in the Sioux Falls area who’s looking for a Quality Director to join their team! The Quality Director will oversee a team of 5 direct reports while managing the quality engineering function. It’s a blended opportunity where you’ll manage the team (annual reviews, distributing work, etc.) while still digging into hands-on quality projects. We’re looking for an experienced Quality Manager or Senior Quality Engineer who’s looking to lead a team while setting the strategic direction for the quality department!

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits and supplier audits as needed.
• Other responsibilities or projects as assigned.
• Oversee team members and distribute projects.
• Utilize lean manufacturing tools and lead Kaizen events.
• Maintain & develop quality management systems and processes.

Desired Skills And Experience

• 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing engineering or combination of experience.
• 2+ years in a manager or supervisor role leading team members.
• Ability to occasionally travel for work.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
